I saw below flawed posts in FB and WhatsApp.
1.Vijaya Dashami is the day Ravan was defeated by Ram.
2. Diwali is the day Ram returned to Ayodhya.
3. Time Gogle Map shows to reach Ayodhya from Lanka on foot is: 21 days
4. Which is almost the number of days between Vijaya Dashami and Diwali
Now let us examine how this is not true.
1. As per Valmiki Ramayana, Rama returned to Ayodhya in "Pushpaka Vimana" and not by walking. In a single day he reaches to Bharadwaja's Ashram - which is at outskirts of Kosala as time was not enough to return on time (completion of 14 years). After war Rama sends Laxmana for Vibhishan's Rajabhisheka and hence it took some time for Rama to return to Ayodhya.
Also note that Rama, Sita, Laxmana, Major Vanara leaders (Sugreeva, Hanumantha, Angad, etc.) + Rakshasa leaders with Vibhishana travels to Ayodhya. So it is highly in-appropriate to say they walked for 21 days without taking a break :)
2. Google map shows the time to walk without a break. It shows 21 days to return from Lanka to Ayodhya if a person walks continuously (non-stop for 21 days :) ). Is this humanly possible ?
For eg: see image of google map which shows only 72 hours of walking from Mangalore to Bangalore.
3. It is good to co-relate the science and technology with our Mythology. There is no doubt many secrets are hidden. However I am against to blindly accept without logical thinking.
4. Instead, I will give you another food for thought: Pushpak vimana has a special feature of adopting/changing it's size based on number of passengers. It increases or decreases in size to fit as many as passengers as needed. Hence Rama along with many people could travel in it. Isn't it awesome feature ?

Our mythology is more accurate then today's historians.
